Dear President Bush, Dear Senator Kerry,
I am writing to you as a member of the Hungarian Lobby of the United States.
As of yet, our lobby has not endorsed any presidential candidate. Therefore, your response to this letter will help us in reaching that decision. As you probably know, there are some 1.5 million Hungarian-Americans in the United States. They tend to be conservative and they reside mostly in the Northeast, Ohio and Florida.
What you probably do not know is that with the Albanians, Hungarians are the largest minority of Europe. The Hungarian-Americans are more than willing to cross party lines, if that is what it takes to help this minority. Hungarians in Europe became a minority, not because they emigrated to other countries, but because the borders been redrawn around them. They became foreigner without leaving their thousand years old towns and villages.
The kingdom of Hungary was dismembered in 1920 (mostly because of French pressure, against the objections of President Wilson), because having a large and powerful Central European nation would have prevented Western Europe's hegemony over the whole of Europe. Hungary did nothing to deserve this. Hungarians defended Europe for a thousand years, never had any colonies, never had any slaves, did not practice segregation, were the first to declare the freedom of religion and more recently, in 1956 contributed to the cause of freedom by mortally wounding Communism.
We, American-Hungarians would like to learn, if your foreign policy would include the protection of the collective human rights of national minorities, their right to local self-government and to dual citizenship? I would be very grateful if you could advise me about your position on these issues.

Tisztelt Elnök Úr!
Tisztelettel javaslom, hogy a jelenlegi kormányválság megoldására rendeljen el új választásokat.
Azért látom ezt szükségesnek, mert az előző választáson a magyar nép az MSZP-SZDSZ koaliciójára és annak jelöltjére Medgyessy Péterre szavazott, de arra nem, hogy az új miniszterelnököt, a nép bizalmát azóta elveszitett párt kongresszusa jelölje és tegye ezt egy olyan "szocialista" személyében, aki KISZ/MSZMP kapcsolatait az ingatlan spekulációiban hasznosva vált az ország egyik leggazdagabb emberévé.
Nem lenne helyes, ha Ön az Országgyülésre hagyná az MSZP kongresszus ezen javaslatának elbirálását, mert az MSZP koalició ott parlamenti többséggel rendelkezik.Ugyanakkor az sem lenne helyes, ha Elnök Úr a FIDESZ-MDF koaliciót kérné fel a kormány alakitásra, mert e koalició nem rendelkezik a kormányzáshoz és a stabilitás visszaállitásához szükséges parlamenti többséggel.
A fenti okokból, tisztelettel kérem Elnök Urat az új választások kiirására.
