Walter Sanborn, Wass Albert dédunokája (házasság révén), levele Lipták Bélának. Részlet a Magyar Lobbi 2004. április 23-i akció köréből.
Dear Mr. Béla Lipták,
My name is Walter Sanborn, and I have been attempting to come into contact with you for the last four months. I was told about your book by a cousin of mine, the grandson of Wass Albert, and I ordered a copy of it from Barnes and Noble, and I read it immediately! Your words held such a fecund truth, and they held such a powerful grasp over me whilst I read. I finished it two days later, wanting to hear more. Your account of the Hungarian Revolution is the single greatest I know of, and I want to thank you for it.
I’m not sure whether or not you are familiar with Wass Albert, but he is my great-grandfather (by marriage), and I am thoroughly interested in his writings and work, which led me to you. I enjoy reading the emails I get every so often through the Hungarian Mailing List that you write, and I would love any information you could give me.
Walter Drew Sanborn
Lipták Béla válasza: “Dear Rusty, yes, Wass de Czege Albert’s name means a lot to me, and I am very glad that you cherish your roots and heritage. I will try to get you some contact in Hungary, so that you can get some authentic and direct info on life there now. Thanks for your kind words and best regards, Béla Bácsi”
