After the Hungarian Liberation Fight of 1848, Lajos Kossuth was exiled.

After making international trips, such as
the one to the USA, he eventually settled in Torino (Ger. Turin), Italy, where, as time progressed,
he lived an increasingly refrained life making very few trips.

For this, the Hungarian nation dubbed him The Hermit of Turin.
