1956-os Forradalom — October 23 National Day

THE PRIME MINISTER OF HUNGARY SCARED OF NEW YORK’S HUNGARIANS

Wednesday, the 5th of October, the prime minister of Hungary, Ferenc Gyurcsany was supposed to open a photo exhibit at the Hungarian Cultural Center at 447 Broadway in South Manhattan, but was suprised by New York's Hungarians waiting for him. This prime minister, who was chosen by the successor party of the Communists. The signs reminding him of his past, his illegal realestate speculation by "privatizing" state property into his own pocket and of his opposition to give all Hungarians Hungarian citizenship, etc.

He got scared. He did not dare to get out of his limusine. He drove around the back side of the bulilding, asked the CIA agents to move a sleeping homeless old man from the entrance to the backstairs and stealthily climbed to the 5th floor. We managed to make a photo of the moment, when he sneaks into the building. If you want a copy, drop me a line.
