2 lbs potatoes
1 green pepper
salt to taste
1 T. sweet paprika
2 T. oil
4 hot dogs (or kolbasz slices)
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 fresh tomato
Chop the onions finely and then sauté them, under cover in the oil until
they turn golden. Add the paprika and a small amount of water.Add the
garlic, the tomato, the green pepper and salt; cover again and simmer for
half an hour. Peel, quarter and then add the potatoes. Add a bit more
water and keep cooking until the potatoes are tender. Finally, mix in the
sliced hot dogs (or kolbasz.) Cook for another 5 minutes, reducing the
liquid.
Potato paprikas is made in as many ways as there are cooks. Some like to
add marjoram, while others prefer hot paprika to bring out the flavors.
