The Office's task and the sphere of authority is determined by the 125/1994 (IX.15) Gov. dec.; the Rules of procedure of the Government 1088/1944. (IX.20.) Gov. dec. and other laws, governmental decrees. The Department for NGO relations was established in 1st of August 1998. Its primary task to develop the Government's civil strategy. The Department supervised by the Political State Secretary, and in professional-political questions by the Minister.
