Tisztelettel kérem a Magyar Lobbi minden résztvevöjét, hogy ha egyetértenek az alábbi (kijavitott) akció levéllel, úgy a püspök úrnak azonnal és faxon küldjék el. Külön kérem a cserkész parancsnokokat, hogy lépjenek kapcsolatba a cserkészekkel, cserkész szülőkkel és kérjék meg őket, hogy mindenki külön-külön faxoljon a püspök úrnak, hogy halomban álljanak a faxok az asztalán.
Kérem azt is, hogy minél többen telefonáljanak Cserháti püspök úrnak, s kérjék, hogy telefonon hivja fel ez ügyben Lennon püspök urat.

Legjobb lenne, ha a clevelandi magyarok delegációja, Ujvági Péter képviselő úr (psujvagi@aol.com) vezetésével meglátogatnák úgy Kucinich urat is: 14400 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 és Lennon püspököt is: 1027 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114-2560, még a március 25.-I gyülés elött.
Az is fontos, hogy a március 25.-i megbeszélésre Armstrong úrral minden olyan clevelandi magyar menjen el akit érdekel közösségünk jövője.
Megjegyzem, hogy a püspök úr felettese a Washingtonban szekelo papai delegatus, de hozzá egyenlöre még nem fordulnék.
Végül elismétlem azt, amit a lobbi tagjai már sokat hallottak, azt, hogy három féle ember van ezen a földön: az elsö az aki tesz, a második fajta az aki figyeli az eseményeket és a harmadik, aki azt se tudja hogy mi történik. Kérem, tartozzon Ön az elsö csoportba.

Dear Bishop Lennon,
I am writing to you as one of the 2,OOO participants in the work of the Hungarian Lobby. I understand that your Excellency has instructed the closing of two of the three Hungarian parishes within Cleveland in your Diocese, which include St. Emeric Church, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and St. Margaret of Hungary Church, the three churches that today are serving the spiritual needs of the Catholic Hungarian community of Cleveland.
I understand that your decision is to close St. Emeric Church and St. Margaret of Hungary Church while keeping St. Elisabeth of Hungary open to serve the Hungarian community. I would like to respectfully inform you that the St. Elisabeth of Hungary Church is no longer in a Hungarian neighborhood while St. Emeric is the center of the Hungarian community of Cleveland. Besides the religious services, the church provodes space for the Hungarian school, for 25O registered scouts, the Hungarian Folk Ensemble, all Hungarian national holidays are commemorated there, dignitaries and clergy from Hungary visit the church, special masses and receptions are held there, etc. In short, the closing of this church would devastate the Hungarian community of Cleveland.
I also understand that your reason for the consolidation is financial. Your Excellency might have not been informed that the St. Emeric parish is financially sound and not a burden to the Diocese. Over the years all necessary repairs and updating have been completed without financial strain by of volunteers. The church interior was just recently refurbished and repainted for about $250,000. Today it is in a beautiful condition.
I understand that your Excellency has scheduled the closing of the parish for June 3O, 2010 and asked Deacon James Armstrong to hold a meeting about the details of this closing on March 25, 2OO9. Therefore, while the time available modifying your plans is extremely limited, it is still possible to make the change and leave St. Emeric Church open instead of the St. Elisabeth of Hungary Church.
In order to assist your Excellency in checking the validity of the facts listed in this letter, please refer to the copied church and community leaders. I do hope that you will find it possible to make this change in your consolidation plans. This would strengthen the Hungarian Catholic Community of Cleveland and would make all Hungarians of the Cleveland area grateful to you.
