Köszönet azért, hogy Schiff András zongoraművésznek január elsején, a Washington Postban megjelent és hazánk jóhirét romboló levelére nagyon sok levelet küldtek a Magyar Lobbi résztvevöi és különös köszönet Dr. Kovalszki Péter higgadt és meggyözö válasz leveléért melyet le is hozott a lap.
Most sajnos megint akcióra kell kérnem a Magyar Lobbi résztvevöit, mert a mai New York Timesban (2011 január 7), újra olyan cikk jelent meg, melyet nem hagyhatunk szó nélkül. A cikk maga a következő cimen olvasható:
Aki a Magyar Lobbi résztvevői közül válaszolni kiván arra, küldje levelét a következő cimre: letters@nytimes.com
Magam két levelet irtam ezzel a cikkel kapcsolatban.
és azon rákattintunk a “send an e-mail to Stephen Castle” gombra.
Aki a lap szerkesztőségének kiván irni az a következö cimre küldje le levelét:
letters@nytimes.com és világosan jelölje meg, hogy levele melyik cikkre vonatkozik, tehát ez esetben azt irja levele legelejére, hogy:
RE: Stephen Castle: “Hungarian Prime Minister Takes On Foreign Critics”, 1-7-11. page A9
Az én levelem igy szólt, de Ön a saját szavaival irjon!

To the Editor,
I am a former Yale professor and a former Hungarian freedom fighter who is sensitive to any unfounded criticism of my former homeland.
Your article implying censorship in Hungary should have noted that the criticized media law has not been implemented, its modification is under way and its 170 pages (which describe the limits on publishing violent, pornographic, etc. material) have not even been read by most of its critics. In fact, there is probably no media in Europe which is so dominated by the opposition party and yet is absolutely free to publish all their material. In other words it seems that these attacks are not motivated by the concern for the freedom of the press, but by ulterior motives.
The goal of the attacks is to reduce the credibility of the new president of the EU, because Mr. Orbán is not as subservient to the big business interests as was the very corrupt previous Hungarian government or for that matter, the previous EU presidents. Consequently, the CEOs of large corporations are afraid that this new EU president will reduce their profits by taxes and will keep a closer eye on their activities.
I would also note that by American standards a government that curtails big business is usually not called center-right. In addition, the Orbán Government is also fighting against the right wing political party (the Jobbik) and is standing up for the rights of all national and ethnic minorities throughout Europe, including that of the Roma people.
Just recently, in a completely free election, the Hungarian people voted by a margin of 3:1 to end the rule of the corrupt Socialist (post-Communist) government and the new government which is trying to build a truly democratic and constitutional democracy. They deserve encouragement, not criticism.
